Water started subsiding. Still at several locations, stormwater sewer manholes as well as sewage backflush were going on (not a pretty sight). Interesting enough, I saw five eels swimming around at the edge of the water! Must be pushed backward from storm sewer inlets at Lafayette river.

[3:00 PM] Water finally started draining. Various leaves and debris from tidal flood were blocking a stormwater sewer cover. Delaware Ave. toward Granby St.

[3:10 PM] Evidence of Floyd's strong hurricane wind effect. Personnels from City of Norfolk Public Utilities were already at the site trying to remove a snapped oak main branch. West of Delaware Ave. and Colonial Ave.
